================================================================ Title : STARTREK.WAD Authors : Kevyn Shellington and Derek Noel Email Address : jwarren@uofguelph.ca and cling@uofguelph.ca Description : This Wad is for DOOM ][ only. Based on the Startrek TNG TV series, it includes all new grafix and sounds and is designed loosely around the configuration of the NCC-1701D Enterprise. We'd like to think that it's almost like being there. I started it because I wanted to have some kind of focus for my next wad, so being a Startrek fan I thought that would be a good idea. It was NEVER originally supposed to be as huge a progect as it turned out to be, but every time I worked on it I thought of another cool idea for it (grin). It has been designed from the beginning with Deathmatch playability in mind. (Of course! Is there ANOTHER way to play Doom!?) Although some concessions have been made in the interest of keeping the theme intact. I do realize that there is another Trek.wad out there but I had no idea until after all the grafix and wad design had been done. Of course if you play both you'll know they're worlds apart from each other. There are many hidden areas and some cool strategies using the Transporter room, so keep your head up. And using your ears can really improve your chances at success in this wad. Oh, and yes, there are only 3 weapons available in the game. They don't use projectile weapons in the 24th century, so of course you don't get any either. And do try and see if you can get the BFG without cheating or looking at the wad with an editor. :) Any constructive criticism or new ideas will be appreciated (I already have some plans for version 2, including music, (but I'm in no hurry) all flames etc. will of course be ignored. Live Long and Prosper! Additional Credits to : The author of Edmap, Jeff Rabenhorst, the author of Deutex, Olivier Montanuy, and of course ID Software. ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : 01 Single Player : No (Well... you could, but why?)
