The DOOM2 Tyson Collection

** What is Tyson style??

Tyson style is killing every monster in a DOOM level in Ultra-Violence
using only minimal weapons: fist, berserk fist, chainsaw, and pistol.

** How were these recordings selected??

The fastest recording was selected among all recordings of that level.
However a slower recording may be listed if it is in a harder style,
such as fist only.

The player should never die in any of these recordings, if he does
the lmp is out of sync which means you are probably using the
wrong version of DOOM2.EXE.  These should replay fine with the
Version 1.9 that comes with DOOM2.

** The Collection:

File name of the recordings is of the form:
Ty(map number)-(time in mmss).lmp
However, the dash is eaten up for recordings longer than 9:59,
and maps with -fast monsters start with "Tg".

I have created some batch files so that you don't have to memorize
these long filenames.  After you unzip the collection in your doom2
directory simply type "playty ##" to replay the lmp of level ##
(leading zero included for levels under 10).  To replay the same
level using timedemo type "timety ##".

The following table summarizes all the lmps in this collection.
The "Style" column refers to the rules adhered by in
the recording.  Normal means usual Tyson style.  Some of the
recordings up the difficulty further by going with -fast monsters,
fist only (or both).
