The DOOM Honorific Titles Created by Frank Stajano on 1994 05 01 Robert Reevy hereby conquers the title of DOOM II Pacifist (D2P6) Exam file name : D2P6RR.ZIP Title conquered : DOOM II Pacifist Author : Robert Reevy Completion date : 1997 08 04 Game and version used : DOOM II v. 1.9 Log entry : ------------------------------------------- 19970708 0705 CHAL: D2P6 RR 16 19 24 (00) 19970708 0705 : Robert Reevy ------------------------------------------- System used : Merlyn 486DX4-100, 12MB RAM, SoundBlaster 16 Controls used : Keyboard only, no keys redefined Free interpretation : MAP25 UV, full kills. Comments : When I got my challenge I didn't think it would be too hard. But it would have been impossible if Peo and Rich hadn't shown me two essential tricks. Misc. Author Info : Born in 1984. DOOM player and PWAD author. Started playing Ultimate DOOM in March 1996, but didn't start making LMPs until I saw Steffen's brilliant D1S exam. LV16-UVP : The hard part is getting the two spectres out of the way so you can snatch the red key. LV19-UVP : I couldn't get the imps away from the first switch, so I thought this would be hell, but then Peo told me of a new route, which makes this map easy both on Pacifist and on Nightmare. LV24-UVP : This was the hard one. On the rare occasions when I survived the red key room, the lost souls went to my nerves. But then Rich showed me a clever way of clearing most of the lost souls from the last room. Watch it and see how. With a bit of clever movement it is possible to get rid of them all. FREE : This is another of my favourite DOOM2 maps and I was tired of playing pacifist so I did it on UV with full kills (actually 102%). I dashed back for a stimpack at the end so as to end with a nice 100% health as well. This makes the end a bit boring, though, but it's only about 15 seconds. CREDITS : Peo Sjoblom for showing me the MAP19 route. Ilya Britvich for discovering the MAP19 route. Richard J. Sham for showing me the MAP24 trick. Frank Stajano for the DHT itself. id Software now what was that for again...? Misc. Author Info : Born in 1984. DOOM player and PWAD author.
