Recorded using "The Ultimate DooM" Doom -PlayDemo with Ultimate DooM OR DooM -PlayDemo with DooM Ver. 1.9 Controls used : default keyboard. :) Free interpretation : e2m9 pacifist style, unhit, exit with 200/200 Comments : this i the new dht-title pacifist. my friend rini thought about some possible ways to play doom a little bit different and so the pacifist- idea arose. but first it was more or less a joke. we thought it would be possible to do just a few doom maps without harming any monster. but then we formed the "doom-pacifist-team" with a bunch of the best compet-n/dht-players and collected feasable maps. nowadays, there are quite few maps left that haven't been done the pacifist way, and most of them are impossible by construction (e.g. e3m1, e3m9, map07, map30) or they contain a cybie, that has to be dead to finish (e.g. e2m8 and e4m6). note that even e1m8 and e3m8 were done the pacifist way... e1m2: "nuclear plant" (e1m2-d1p.lmp) the only tricky part is the very last imp in front of the exit-switch. but you can always lure him up the elevator or even press the switch right _through_ him. dance is before entering the dark arena with the switch. e3m5: "unholy cathedral" (e3m5-d1p.lmp) if you miss the invisi, just get the blue key quick before the spectres surround you. the run through the imps and skulls is easy, 'cause now with the invisi, the monsters get out of the way all by themselves. dance is right at the start. e4m3: "sever the wicked" (e4m3-d1p.lmp) now that one took me quite a few tries, and i always died at the blue key. so i moved a little bit slower at the start, to persuade the baron to finish off a few shotgunners. kinda worked. the rest was a piece of cake. again being invisi helps alot at the very end. funny to open the last door only to have a barons shot from a mile away almost right in the face. dance is after the invul in the save cellar-area. free: "fortress of mystery" (e2m9-d1p.lmp) couldn't think of a better free, so i played my favourite e2m9 again, this time in pacifist style. but at least i finish the level unhit with the maximum health and armour (200/200). dance in the start area, after the first visit at the cacos.
