Comments :This was difficult, the only break I got in the whole thing is that I got map 1 for my easy level, I can do both map02 and map24, but getting map01 saved me a lot of time. Map's 8 and 19 are both long levels, I did them as fast as I could but they are still long recordings. My out of base level is so easy I can't beleive it hasn't been taken yet, map 32 is so simple. Here are my stats: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map01 What can I say really, it is an incredibly easy stage, as it should be because their are only imp's and former humans. Kills-100% Items-55% Secret-100% Time taken-2:04 min Par time-30 sec ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map 08 This one was from the hard set, and it is not an easy stage. I remember when I first saw this stage, I was playing on HMP and I died horribly even while using IDFA to cheat. This was in August of last year, when I first starting playing doom. I never thought back then that I would beat the same stage 9 months later using only pistol, chainsaw and fist. I had a huge problem in this recording, the cyberdemon teleported out and shot me while he was leaving, so I resorted to a new strategy. I grabbed the invuln and released everything at once, it was a pretty crappy plan but it worked. This lmp isn't incredibly boring but it ain't that interesting either, it has it's moments though. Due to the fact that I released everything, my route got screwed up pretty bad, so don't be surprised if I look sometimes like I don't know what I am doing. Kills-100% Items-100% Secret-100% Time taken-24:40 min Par time-2:00 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map 19 Alvin "Viper" Chee added this level to the base, I tip my hat to him for doing so. When I first saw his lmp I was amazed by it, the only problem I had was that it was a bit long. The one I recorded here is a bit shorter, but I take absolutely nothing away from alvin who did it only with keyboard and he didn't have anybody else's lmp to watch for help. Great Job Alvin! I have some good punching in this lmp, if you can stick with the lmp through the boring beginning you will find the middle is pretty good, it is a bit boring because of the length, but it isn't a bad lmp. At the end there is a very tense moment for me, when I teleport into the demon room I have to jump down with all the demon's and I made it, but it was very rough to do. Kills-100% Items-91% Secret-88% Time taken-41:01 min Par time-3:30 min ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map 32 THis is my out of base level and I still can't beleive that it hasn't been used as a base expander. THe level is not hard at all but It is a fun lmp to record. I guess what scares some people away is the fact that there is a cyberdemon in it. That's was I was afraid of in the beginning but once you find a good approach to this stage, it really isn't hard at all. I actually have an earlier recording of me doing it about 4 months ago. Right at the beginning of this lmp, when I first let the cyberdemon out, I got hit with a rocket, and I take a lot of damage but I recover and do it. I am not going to tell you the strategy I used for this stage, I wan't to leave it for a surprise. Kills-100% Items-100% Secret-100% Time taken-6:22 min Par time-30 sec ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Free Free I did the first 3 stages of doom2 consecutively tyson style, although map02 is rated as easy, I don't think it should be, even with the chainsaw I obtained from level 1, I still hard a pretty hard time with map02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well this makes me the 4th tyson, I don't think there are going to be to many more of us, because out of base levels are starting to run down. I can only see a couple more that are left, Map16 might be possible with luck, Map09 might be remotely possible but I would like to see that lmp! There are a couple others but due to the abundance of Arch-viles,revenants and other strong enemies in most of the stages, it will be hard to finish them. I found this title to be the hardest to obtain, but I didn't find it *THAT* hard, I find it natural to fight with my fists, with a berserk pack I think I could kill almost every enemy given time. My best tyson accomplishment would have to be my doom 1 E2M6-ty.lmp. This stage has a lot of cacodemons and Barons of hell, and I had to punch most of them to death. I would like to thank several people: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tommy Dunphy- My brother for introducing me to doom and for being their when I needed to play deathmatch Mike Hayes- For being such a good target in deathmatch :-) Simon Widlake- For helping me so much with my D1I-tmd.zip and for inspiration with my Doom 2 Incubus Steffen Winterfeldt- For being the god of doom, this guy is amazing. Jonathan Hoof- This guys lmp's are inspiration for us all, he as all the basic and advanced titles plus two epic's, he is a real champion. Id Software- For creating the most incredible game in the world, I cannot wait until QUAKE comes out. Has anyone thought of the Quake Honorific Titles? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am 16 years of age and Doom is Incredible, I live in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and I skateboard as well as snowboard. I have been playing doom since August of 1995. The first title I received was a doom 1 Grand Master. I still have 3 more basic titles to go but I thought I would include everything I wanted to say in this Zip file because I am just going to rush to get my basic titles out, and I thought that I would include everything in my best accomplishment, my Doom 2 Tyson. Well that's all for now, see you all later From, Terry "T-man" Dunphy
