The stats are: Kills 100% Items 100% Secrets 0% TIME 11:45 PAR 4:00 Comments: Some of the sets I have gotten for exams have been pretty rough (in my opinion). But not this time. This might be the easiest set of MAPs that could be put together. Even so MAP07 gave me some trouble. Just having finished ny D1SG exam I wanted to get these MAPs in a decent time, near par if possible, certainly not more than twice par. MAP02: Closest I ever came to par (without -fast) was 1:39. So I new that getting this close to par would be tough. Tried lots of routes and strategies but finally gave up on getting near par with -fast. Should have asked for help from Jesper Hansson but the idea never occured to me till just now. The stats are: Kills 100% Items 60% Secrets 100% TIME 3:45 PAR 1:30 MAP05: Having had this MAP on every Doom ][ exam (except D2SG), I wanted to do something different for it. With that in mind I tried to carry on what the Doom ][ demo guy was doing. The Marine charges straight at the chaingunner/shotguns in the start room, jumps directly into the pits with the Imps, jumps thru the window into the courtyard with the Imps, etc. Even trying to be as aggressive as possible, it only turned out one third as exciting as the demo guys lmp. I Left the Soul Sphere in the start room on purpose so the Marine spends lots of time with little health. The stats are: Kills 100% Items 60% Secrets 100% TIME 6:56 PAR 1:30 MAP07: When I first tried this MAP I stood behind the pillars at the corners of the room add promptly got wasted by fire balls going straight thru! Had to watch Tom Mustaine's MAP07-NM in D2SG-TWM exam to get some ideas on how to handle this. He finished Nightmare in 1:44 so I thought I could finish Ultra Violence Fast under 2:00. No luck. Still, came close to par, the only LMP in this set to meet that goal. The stats are: Kills 100% Items 66% Secrets 100% TIME 2:12 PAR 2:00 Addition to the Base: MAP08 (Hard) I have mixed feeling about this MAP. I picked it because it was the first MAP available for adding to the base. After I worked on it for a while I decided there may be a good reason it was available. I guess it can be finished, but I never want to do it again! This LMP sucks (look at the time) but it meets the req.
