======================================================================== Title : hellhous.wad Date Finished : 9/23/97 Author : Bill(aka HellKnight) Email Address : billg@eci.com Other Files By Author : west2.wad, fraghous.wad Misc. Author Info : Doom2 is the best! I enjoy making quality levels for it, and love a great LAN Deathmatch. I still make levels even now. Why make levels for doom and not Quake? I happen to think Quake SUCKS, as do a lot of other people. In my opinion, Doom2 will be the best game ever until something else comes out to replace it that is better and more fun to play. Description : Usual Storyline: You are in the Marines, and you get orders from your Commanding Officer: |MISSION BRIEF| -TOP SECRET- You are hereby ordered to clear out a house that has been infested with hellspawn. We have reason to believe that the demons are attempting to gain a foothold in this sector by fortifying an area and setting up a base. This base is believed to be the house, and most likely the surrounding adjacent areas. Everything seems to point to this conclusion. Be warned that since the demons are trying to establish their presence here the house is most likely infested with all the badasses, from the zombified former marines to the Cyberdemon. Prior to you being ordered in to erradicate the demons, we tried an assault about 2 months ago to take the house back. We thought this would be a quick, effective operation, as many of the men were armed with plasma weapons and the latest state of the art weaponery. The operation failed miserably, our forces were compromised in a variety of matters from ambushes to demons who seem to have gained the ability to appear out of thin air. All communications was lost by the 5th day. About 4 weeks ago we sent in 3 scouts to get more information about what the demons were up to in the house. Contact with all the scouts was lost by the end of the first day. You will notice the included 2 pictures. Picture1(pic1.bmp) shows the exterior of the house. This was taken when we dropped the scouts in. Picture2(pic2.bmp) is the landing zone where the first assault took place. This was taken when that assult was launched, so it is not up to date. As far as getting you into the house is concerned, one of the scouts managed to set up a reciever teleporter pad in the house so we can teleport you directly inside. This of course means you can only take the standard issue pistol with you. However, from the little information we recieved from the scouts, we think it's very possible that there are other more powerful weapons in the house. You will have to use them as you come across them. We even have reason to believe that some plasma based weapons could be somewhere within the depths of the house, leftover from the first assualt. Get ready for the fight of your life.
