=========================================================================== Title : CLIPPER.WAD Date Finished : 9-26-95 Author : Dave Everett Email Address : everett@phibred.com Other Files By Author : TAZMANIA.WAD Misc. Author Info : I love WinDEU and WinTex! Description : This is your standard castle-type WAD with a MAJOR twist. The major twist I'm talking about is the reason I named this wad "CLIPPER". One more thing: the walls and floors are GREEN everywhere to help out the green player a little. (Brown and Grey are hard enough to see already!) Oh yeah, I used a lot of doors that open only when you cross a line def, so watch for them. Also: I like secret walls, so there are lots of those as well. Additional Credits to : id software, the DEU Team, Aaron Veenstra (asveenst@mtu.edu) for the base wad (TORCHES) from which this wad was derived. =========================================================================== * New Map for DOOM ][ * * Play Information * Map # : MAP01 Single Player : Yes, but if you turn on "The Clipper", good luck. That means it can walk thru walls, and most weapons do not hurt it. The ONLY way to kill one of these monsters is to shoot rockets at it while it is close to a wall. The backlash from a rocket blast is the only thing that will hurt it. Now, Shotgun Seargents are not hard to kill with rocket backlash, but Arachnotrons and Barons of Hell are! This wad was specifically designed to produce clipping monsters. They ARE optional, (someone has to go turn on "The Clipper") but they can be a lot of fun. It adds a new dimension to Deathmatch games. The clipper switch is in the same relative place as the exit switch (the wad is mirrored across a line running north-south thru the middle) on the other side. You cannot open the door to this room nor even see the door. There is a line def that opens this door at the entrance to the V-shaped hallways, so you must run directly into that room as soon as you cross it. "The Clipper" switch and the EXIT are clearly marked. (Don't ya hate it when they're not? I do!)
