Well, OK. Maybe a little hint of a story. This episode works in reverse. Rather than meeting the bossmonster at the end of an episode, you meet the mighty one in Map01. Whilst drifting aimlessly through hyperspace, as one does, you materialise onto a strange planet infested with evil hell spawn. With barely enough time to grab your rifle, you turn to face the first onslaught... Soon, many bloodstained carcasses lie at your feet and you wonder where these vile creatures came from. A nearby cave soon leads you to the answer where you confront the awesome demon lord himself. Luckily, you have caught his lordship off-guard and you soon blast him into the ether. However, he leaves behind him a legacy of mutants which must be destroyed. And so your journey begins.... What tosh! * Waffle I have played many wads off the net, most are crap! But if you shop around, there are many good wads to be found. I have learnt what makes a good game and what doesn't. For me, a well constructed level has to be aesthetically pleasing, architecturally interesting with challenging combat sequences. So, we are NOT talking about tedious mazes, tiresome puzzles and endless switch flicking. We ARE talking about striking architecture, traps, ambushes and maybe a touch of strategy. I desperately need feedback on this wad. I have played it again recently and there is plenty of scope for tweaking - maybe a few lighting effects etc. Please send me an e-mail and be brutally truthful.
