To play:

Make sure you have ZDoomdos 1.17c or get it from http://zdoom.notgod.com/

Just to unzip it to the Doom2 directory since its just another executable

Make sure you have Doom2 and zdoomdos 1.17c in a directory with lavacity.wad
type "zdoomdos -file lavacity.wad" without quotes and it should be
availible then you select a new game.

I recommend using a cross or dot to aim with, much easier, using the mouse
is recommended too.

I use the following with inverted mouse.

mouse movements   : aim/turn (really accurate)
left mousebutton  : fire
right mousebutton : walk forward
a                 : run
s                 : strafe left
d                 : backpedal
f                 : strafe right
w                 : jump
space             : use, open

These keys gives you full control with the left hand so you can keep the
right hand on the mouse all the time.

Use the weapons wisely for there are limited ammo.

If you fall down in the lava you die, theres no way up, so watch your steps.
