=========================================================================== Archive Maintainer : Hi Advanced engine needed : ZDoom Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : Ebola: 32 Ways to Die Filename : EBOLA.WAD Release date : Oct. 27, 2003 Author : Hyena Email Address : trwhite@fgbc.org Other Files By Author : Things Misc. Author Info : Stuff Description : Ebola made a TC called Hyena, so I thought it would only be fitting for me to make a Doom Project with his name on it. Essentially, this is just a fun collection of 32 badly-detailed levels, geared towards making the player die. Note: Most levels automatically exit after you die, so don't hit the space bar or you'll start the level over again. A few bugs do exist, so if you end up waiting a long time after dying, just hit space and try again. Note #2: MAP30 does not have an exit. Presumably you will just die. It's possible to survive, though. If you get stuck, that's why. Additional Credits to : Everyone (That way no one will say I forgot them) =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 32 Sounds : Yes (sorta) Well, really I just modified the Boss Brain death sound. It would be really annoying otherwise. Music : No Graphics : I don't remember Dehacked/BEX Patch : Yes (:D) Demos : No Other : Yes Other files required : None * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 Map # : MAP01 - MAP30 (map31 and map32 included) Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : No Deathmatch 2-4 Player : No Other game styles : Blah Difficulty Settings : Not implemented Made with skills 2 - 4 in mind. At skill 1 it might take too long to die. At skill 5 it might be too fast. * Construction * Base : New from scratch Build Time : A couple of days. Maybe a week tops. Editor(s) used : DeepSea, notepad Known Bugs : Plenty. 1. In MAP11, I used a polyobject to crush the player. It looks terrible. Since it's just a goofy project I didn't bother figuring out how to fix the graphical error. 2. Many of the maps have ways that the player can avoid dying. I decided to leave these as "features". If you can survive a level, congratulations. Many of the levels do have at least one secret to survival. Note, however, that some levels are impossible to survive without cheating. May Not Run With... : Herpes. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use the contents of this file as a base for modification or reuse.
