=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : Probably a good idea, though there are no port specific features used, other than it's a massive level Primary purpose : Single(+Coop) play =========================================================================== Title : Doomed Dejá Vu Filename : ddejavu.wad Release date : 2010.12.11 Author : JCA (Jimi) Email Address : greyjimi@hotmail.com Other Files By Author : Previous was Green Tea Brick Factory Misc. Author Info : Made the map to celebrate Doom's 17th birthday :) Description : As the name suggests it's something familiar. I guess you'll find out soon enough. Be careful, there are lots of monsters and it's huge map with 2007 things.. 666 monsters and some lost souls! And as it's a long level, you may want to use IDMUS** cheat/command when the current song starts to bore you... It may take some hour or more to complete... Additional Credits to : id Software, Doom, Heretic and Hexen and SargeBaldy for making the Doom Textures For Doom II texture wad =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 1 Sounds : No Music : No Graphics : Yes.. the Doom Textures For Doom II texture wad merged in Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 Map # : MAP29 Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : Designed for / Player starts only Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Player starts only (there's 4 in the start room, yey!) Tested With : GZDoom 1.5.06 and Doomsday 1.9.0-beta6.9 (using models with Doomsday is probably slow, unless you have really really good computer) * Questions You Might Ask * Q: Where are the real questions? A: They're at the bottom after everything else, because they contain spoilers! Only read them if you're absolutely stuck on something. Otherwise go play the level now! * Copyright / Permissions * You MAY distribute this file, provided you include this text file, with no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact. And SargeBaldy says this about the texture resources in the text file for them: "You MAY use this resource in any way you find it useful, but crediting me would be nice." This quote applies to the texture resources used in the wad. You may NOT do the same with the level. * Where to get the file that this text file describes * The Usual: ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/ and mirrors Web sites: http://koti.mbnet.fi/jeejeeje/doom/ * The Real Questions You Might Ask * Q: One door doesn't open completely, but there's a super shotgun behind it, how I get it? A: Don't be hasty, you get it later.. you can get one slightly earlier from a secret.. Q: Where is the BFG? A: There are two in the level, they're both in secret areas.. neither is hard to find. First one is somewhere after Tower of Babel area and before Hell Keep Second one is somewhere after Hell Keep and Dis/Mt.Erebus/Limbo Q: Some switches don't work in the House of Pain crusher area? A: That's because you stepped over the line and activated the crusher before you used the switch. Be more careful. Q: How to get out of the Symbol of Chaos area, with the Barons of Hell, etc? A: Each Baron of Hell cage has a switch you must use to lower some metal barriers around a teleporter, there's 8 switches to use. Q: How to get out of the Tower of Babel area? A: Look for an eye, then use it, then look for an another eye and use it.. keep going until you've used 8 eyes, then some bloody stairs have been built and you can exit the area. Q: How to get out of the Dis/Mt. Erebus/Limbo area? A: Get the invulnerability, use the switch in the house, and use another switch in a sinking ashfloor. Then run around the Dis and look around for some Evil Eyes, there's switches near them that you can use.
