Date Completed : December 29, 1998 Title : Artica 2 Filename : artica2.wad Other Works : Eulogy Series, Dismemberment, 10 maps in SurgeDM Author : Cyberdemon (Mike Watson) Email Address : cyberdemon@cyb.ml.org Description : This one is only one map. It's not to huge(but then, I don't like to bore the public with all those puzzles heh). It also continues right from where the first Artica left off, and like Hollywood, I left room for a sequil(heh). This isn't a series either, it's a continuation(unlike Eulogy). I got that idea from Half-Life actually(you were waiting for me to mention it, weren't you? hehe) Additional Credits to : id Software of course, and Lee Killough for MBF. Also much thanks to Lee, Jim Flynn, Captain Mellow and Len Pitre for their help with the friendly monsters. Also whoever I thanked in artica.txt becuase I used the same graphics. =============================================================== * Play Information * Game : MBF and Doom 2. It will work with Boom, but then you don't have any helpers and the multiple skies I used won't show up. So use MBF if you know what's good for ya! Level # : map01 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Nope(so helper doggies damnit!) Deathmatch 2-4 Player : NO! Difficulty Settings : Yeah Note : There is a helper monster in this. If you shoot him he'll shoot back though and then it might get confusing. But trust me anyway, he's a big help. New Sounds : None New Graphics : Sky and snow from original Artica. Also I made some more graphics from some Doom 2 ones(color changing in PSP heh) New Music : Not this time(I kinda like D_RUNNIN anyway hehe) Demos Replaced : Nope but send away! E-mail is at the top Dehacked Patch : Yah yah, small one inside the wad(another reason NOT to use Boom) * Construction * Base : New level from scratch and all that. Editor(s) used : WadED, WadAuthor, DMapEdit, WARM, RMB, CLED and PSP Build time : Eh, about two weeks(maybe less but I forget) Known Bugs : Some texture misalignment, but I think I got most of it. Oh Yeah : I built a reject with RMB this time, usually I use WARM, but I tested this out on my 486 and it crashed Boom a few times because I think I mived too fast. After I built the reject with RMB(82%)it didn't crash. I don't know if this will hold true with MBF though since it won't even run on my 486. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels.
