It is in the Adspexe.zip file) Adsp.txt (you're reading it) Adsp.deh (for those who use BOOM and can't use the exe file.) Adsp.wad Adspbat.bat (starts up AfterDOOM2.) Author : Virgil the Doom Poet Description : Another megawad from me. Same features as Afterdoom, except the levels, graphics, and music are new and different (Well, DUUH!!!). You are not, I repeat NOT a Doom God if you cannot finish these levels on Ultra Violence, starting at each with only a pistol. **No original monsters are replaced, but... four tough bosses are added...** Story : Alright, alright. Here's the damn story :). After destroying Satan and Hell itself and being revived and rejuvenated, you find yourself on earth again. "It's over, it's finally over..." you think to yourself. You are DEAD wrong. (DEAD being the key word...) As you watch the evening news, a story comes up that makes you choke on the food you were just eating. The story tells that strange entities have suddenly appeared near a UAC space shuttle launching station and have stolen a space shuttle prototype that carries a 200000 megaton thermonuclear warhead codenamed "Daymon". It alone has the ability to vaporize the whole planet. Enraged, you hop in your vehicle and careen down to the UAC station. "The bastards! They're just like weeds!! And i'm their weed control.." you think to yourself. Before the UAC station knows what hit them, you swipe one of the smaller space shuttles and blast off for the huge, monster-infested spaceship that was supposed to be home to 100 thousand people. Now it's home to 100 thousand hellspawn and you are the only one that can save earth from their wrathful vengeance. As you near it, something blows a hole through your mini space shuttle's ceiling. Quickly you grab a pistol and attempt to find the extra ammo you took with you. Here we go again... Thanks to : Jason Hoffoss for making DMapEdit, Id software for making such an awesome game editable (unlike Quake, Unreal, and a whole bunch of other 3-D shooters), Bill Neisius for making Dmgraph, and whoever made NWT (New Wad Tools), and Greg Lewis for creating Dehacked. It f***ing rules!!! ========================================================================== * Play Information * Levels # : MAP01-MAP13 Single Player : Yes!! Cooperative 2-4 Player : No. Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes, for those that for some reason only play DM. Difficulty Settings : Yes. (I recommend UV) New Sounds : Yes. And YES they're good. New Graphics : Yes. Demos Replaced : No, not yet. Wait for the full version. Loading Procedure : 1) copy the zip file into your doom2 directory 2) obviously, unzip the zip file 3) go to the MS-DOS Prompt and into your doom2 directory 4) type "adspbat" and press enter **Or, if you use BOOM, add the wad files and the dehacked patch when loading doom2 through the source port. However, I REALLY recommend that you use the normal DOS Doom2 instead and just run AfterDOOM2 through the batch file included.** ========================================================================== * Construction * Base : New levels from scratch and sheer creativity Editor(s) used : DMapEdit, NWT, Mudi2mus, and Mus2midi for music changes, Dmgraph for title graphics, & Ted12 for editing the text mode screen that comes up when you quit doom2. Known Bugs : Possible save buffer overruns in some levels. Don't save on a level that's huge. I know you guys can beat the levels without saving (saving is for whimps). Besides, I do this on purpose to prevent too much saving and to encourage hardcore, nonstop gaming. ========================================================================== * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY NOT use these levels as a base to build additional levels or make profit with them. You MAY distribute this WAD (AND PLEASE DO), provided you include these files, with no modifications. You may distribute these files in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include these files intact with no modifications and in their original form. ========================================================================== *NOTES* If you're stuck, read on. 1) Be very careful and alert when you open a door or press a switch. I don't have a lot of traps, but if you press too much switches or open too many doors without defeating all the monsters in the area first, you will find yourself surrounded by them and will be torn to shreds. (An exception is when you cannot find any ammo and have to go to the next area to find it.) Ammo shortage is almost never a problem in my levels, but health shortage can still kill you. In the later levels, however, ammo shortage CAN become a problem... *devilish grin* 2) When you see corpses of players, be prepared for a trap... 3) These levels take time to complete. Save your game, just DON'T SAVE IT TOO OFTEN or you might stop having fun with these levels. Save it like 1-2 times a level if you are such a wimp. I myself never save unless I have no choice. 4) Weapons, ammo, and health aren't just for decoration. Some people think otherwise. Don't take a box of shells when you are carrying 99 shells (you would waste 19 valuable shells!). Same goes for health and weapons. Chainsaws and berserker packs are good weapons for most monsters, even Barons of Hell (I like killing those with a berserker pack:)). 5) So you listened to all I've had to say? Good. Here's a little hint to help you stay alive. In AfterDOOM2 Deep Space Pirsuit, there are 4 NEW BOSSES to fight. Each are harder than a cyberdemon and almost all have more health than a cyberdemon. And for some odd reason (grin) all the old doom2 monsters are present. They have NOT been replaced... Watch out for the last and final of the four. If he touches you, he can freeze you in place and tear you apart with his claws. One more thing: all but one are REALLY fast. Faster than rockets.
