Greetings... This is the second edition of the KNOWN MODEM INIT STRINGS FOR DOOM (KNISFD). I am proud to say that it has increased in size. However, I cannot promise it has increased in accuracy. It seems that some modems and connections vary differently even between the same modem! So, if you see a string on here that you can't get to work, it doesn't mean it doesn't work.... Understand? If you see a typo, please report it. BEG BEG BEG: Please, if your modem is not on this list, and you have it working, email: barry@noc.unt.edu with the type of modem, init string, and hangup string if different. Thanks goes to all the posters who I stole this stuff from. I do not know if these settings work... I am just trying to be nice, so don't flame me if your modem still doesn't work. If you have any suggestions or other additions you would like to see included in the MODEM DOOM FAQ, please send you suggestions to the above address. Eventually, I will get around to either sending them to Hank or compiling them with this or another DOOM document. ------------------------KNOWN MODEM INIT STRINGS v2.0--------------------- For DOOM v1.2 February 28, 1993 Compiled by Barry Bloom & Jeff Lewis barry@noc.unt.edu (Current Maintainer) jlewis@hyrax.iupui.edu (Retired :)) Special thanks to all those who contributed and Hank "FAQ-MAN" Leukart.
